Game Rules

Two games, two rulebooks. Both free, both prize-backed, both one account.

One pick a round. Survive, or you're out.

  1. Eligibility: Only registered players may take part. One entry per account. 18+.

  2. Free to play: Champs FC is free. Pools may be backed by a prize set by the pool organiser.

  3. Making a pick: Each round, pick one team. You can make or change your pick any time until the round locks. Your pick is hidden from other players until lock.

  4. Surviving a round: In knockout play you survive if your team advances (a win, or a win after extra time or penalties). In league and group play your team must win outright — a draw eliminates you.

  5. Round cadence: In a tournament a round is one match-day. In a league season a round is one gameweek. Either way it opens for picks ahead of time and locks at the first kick-off.

  6. No team reuse: You can pick each team only once per pool. Each pool is its own game, so a team you’ve used in one pool is still available in another. Used teams are greyed out.

  7. Team resets: A league season has more rounds than teams, so every player’s used teams clear at one announced point mid-season and the full list becomes available again. Tournaments are short enough that they never reset.

  8. Missed pick: If you don’t pick before lock, you’re auto-assigned an unused team so you stay in.

  9. Postponements & cancellations: If a fixture is voided, the affected players survive that round rather than being knocked out unfairly.

  10. Winning: The last player standing wins the pool. If every remaining player is eliminated in the same round, those players share the win.

  11. Joining a pool: Pools start at a set round. Late joiners enter cleanly at the starting round so everyone competes on equal footing.
